You're welcome in South Africa - if you're Japanese
Johannesburg - South African Tourism (SAT) said on Tuesday it was launching a website targeted at Japanese travellers.
SAT Japan country manager Bradley Brouwer said in a statement the initiative, with the theme "Surprise Yourself", would be launched on Wednesday.
The website, www.south-africa.jp, would include information, photographs and movies focusing on the beauty of flowers and wildlife in South Africa.
Brouwer said SAT's research had indicated that the Japanese market was well-travelled and wanted new and interesting experiences they could strongly relate to such as scenic beauty, masses of flowers and wildlife.
"Our focus is to increase the awareness of South Africa as a 'Surprise Yourself' destination and to help create new itineraries," he said.
